Caleb White is a Lecturer at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s School of Architecture and co-founding partner of MatterLab, a multidisciplinary design office in Troy, New York. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado. His work bridges traditional architectural practices with emerging technologies, focusing on geometric form, material innovation, and digital fabrication. He has been recognized with awards including the AIA Pennsylvania Student Award and the E. Lewis Dales Traveling Fellowship.
Previously, White worked at Contemporary Architecture Practice in New York and Shanghai, contributing to projects like the Lijia Smart Park in Chongqing and AMEC headquarters in Nanchang. His research explores the interplay between disciplinary traditions and new methodologies in design. He also teaches architectural pedagogy at RPI, emphasizing rigorous design processes and material realization.
