Caleb Hill is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Wyoming. His research focuses on single-entity electrochemistry and nanoscale spectroscopy, particularly for energy conversion and catalytic systems. He received his B.S. in Chemistry from Jacksonville State University (2009), a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Alabama (2014), and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas at Austin (2014–2016).
Research interests include:
- Development of combined electrochemical and spectroscopic tools for single-particle/molecule studies
- Probing heterogeneous interfaces in energy conversion, catalysis, and sensing
- Design of single-entity microscopy methods for renewable energy materials
- Investigation of 2D semiconductors and plasmonic nanostructures
Scientific awards include the NSF CAREER Award (Chemical Measurement and Imaging Program) for his single-entity electrocatalysis work. Students joining his lab since 2017 include Josh Hill, Partha, Md Maksudur Rahman, Chloe, and Roshni. The Hill Lab emphasizes interdisciplinary research bridging analytical chemistry, materials science, and energy technologies.
