Professor Caleb Ferguson is a Professor of Nursing (Chronic & Complex Care) at the University of Wollongong's School of Nursing and Director of the Centre for Chronic & Complex Care Research. He also leads UOW: Health Innovations, a university-wide initiative fostering healthcare collaboration. His research focuses on cardiovascular disease, frailty, and digital health, with over 150 publications and $25M in funding. He serves as a Fellow of the Australian College of Nursing, Cardiac Society of Australia & New Zealand, and European Society of Cardiology, and chairs the Cardiovascular Nursing Council. His work emphasizes translating research into clinical practice, improving patient outcomes, and addressing systemic healthcare challenges.
Education includes a BSc in Nursing from the University of Stirling, an MSc in Health Leadership from the University of Tasmania, and a PhD from the University of Technology Sydney. He holds adjunct roles at UTS and Queensland University of Technology. Awards include the NSW Young Tall Poppy Science Award and NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellowships.
