Caitlin Donnelly

Caitlin Donnelly is an Associate Professor and Reader at Queen's University Belfast (QUB), affiliated with the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work. She holds leadership roles including Director of Postgraduate Taught Studies and Deputy Director of the Centre for Shared Education. Her research focuses on educational policy, particularly neoliberalism and managerialism, and the role of schools in divided societies. She has supervised 12 doctoral students to completion and currently mentors eight PhD candidates.

Her work explores shared education initiatives in Northern Ireland to foster intergroup relations, and she leads the UK Review of Educational Leadership with BELMAS. Notable achievements include the 'Supervisory Excellence Award' from QUB Graduate School in 2015 and 2016.

Recent publications (2021–2024) analyze school leadership, shared education, and citizenship education in conflict zones. Her research contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing social cohesion and quality education.
