COLLEEN PETRIK

Colleen Petrik, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Integrative Oceanography Division within Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego. She holds a joint PhD in Biological Oceanography from the MIT-WHOI Joint Program (2011) and a BS in Marine Science and Biology from the University of Miami (2005).

• Climate Studies: Impacts of climate variability and change on marine populations

Her work spans scales from individual larvae to global fisheries, using coupled numerical models to explore biological-physical mechanisms. She co-leads the NOAA Climate Program Office's Marine Ecosystems Task Force and coordinates the Fisheries and Marine Ecosystems Model Intercomparison project.
