CHEN Haiyun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Administration at the School of Economics and Management, Tongji University. She holds a Ph.D. in Nature Resource Management from the Asian Institute of Technology (2012) and has extensive academic and international collaboration experience.

Her research focuses on Sustainable Development and Management, Common Pool Resources (CPRs) Governance, and Institutional Economics. She has contributed to studies on community forestry governance, livelihood development, and institutional arrangements in natural resource management.
Recent publications highlight sustainable forest commons governance, livelihood asset evaluation, and integration of community participation in resource management projects. Key themes include environmental policy, co-management strategies, and institutional dynamics.
She has secured research grants including the National Natural Science Fund Project on ecological hotspots and the Young Talent Plan at Tongji University. Her international collaborations span Germany, Japan, and the United States.
