CARLOS ALBERTO ALVES SOARES FERREIRA

Carlos Alberto Alves Soares Ferreira serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Education and Psychology at the School of Human and Social Sciences, University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. He concurrently holds the position of Director of the Doctoral Program in Educational Sciences and maintains affiliation with CIIE – Research Center for Educational Intervention of the University of Porto.

His academic credentials include:

• PhD in Education/Curriculum Development (2004, University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro)
• Licentiate in Educational Sciences (1992, University of Porto)

Research focuses on Educational Sciences with specialization in Curriculum Development and Educational Intervention methodologies. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in educational settings, particularly through doctoral program leadership and CIIE center initiatives.

As Director of the Doctoral Program in Educational Sciences, he oversees advanced academic training while contributing to educational research through the CIIE center’s intervention-focused projects.
