Candan Terzioglu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing (Mental Health and Diseases Nursing) at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University's Faculty of Health Sciences. She holds roles such as Deputy Head of Department and Director of Research and Application Center. Her academic journey includes doctoral studies from Uskudar University (2019), Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University (2017), and Ankara University (2009 MA in Social Psychiatry). She has extensive teaching experience across multiple universities including Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University and Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University.
Her research focuses on psychiatric nursing with specializations in psychodrama-based interventions for infertility patients, psychosocial care in palliative care settings, and nursing education methodologies. Key areas include analyzing non-pharmacological approaches in delirium management, childhood trauma impacts on violent tendencies, and healthcare worker mental health during pandemics. She contributed chapters to books like Psychosocial Nursing Approaches and Musik Tedavisi, and has organized events like the 3rd Ankara Psychodrama Days.
Terzioglu's 50+ publications span peer-reviewed journals and conferences, emphasizing clinical nursing practices and innovative educational techniques. She actively participates in professional organizations including the Psychiatric Nursing Association and Music Therapy Association, and has served on editorial boards for nursing textbooks. Her work integrates creative therapies with evidence-based practice to address mental health challenges in diverse populations.
