Dr. C.N. (Niels) Falch is a musicologist affiliated with the Faculty of Arts at the University of Groningen. His expertise spans popular music, jazz, Jewish music, American music, songwriting, the music industry, and speech prosody. He holds the position of Forensic Musicologist and serves as a Guest Blogger for the Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) at Florida Atlantic University Libraries.
Research Focus: Dr. Falch’s work critically examines the intersection of Jewish musical traditions with American popular songs (1892–1945), as evidenced by his 2020 doctoral thesis. His interdisciplinary approach bridges musicology with cultural and historical studies.
