C.J. van der Linden

Dr. C.J. van der Linden is an Assistant Professor at the University of Groningen’s Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences, Department of Pedagogy. They serve as UNESCO Chair in Lifelong Learning, Youth and Work at Gulu University (Uganda, 2021–2024). Their work focuses on adult learning systems, youth entrepreneurship, and education in conflict/post-conflict regions. Key roles include coordinating globalisation studies and external cooperation initiatives.

Research interests span lifelong education dynamics, youth development in developing countries, and socio-spatial environments for learning. Recent work emphasizes sustainable development goals through education, particularly in Uganda and Nepal.
