Dr. Bülent İrfanoğlu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Başkent University, Ankara, Turkey. His academic career spans research and teaching in control systems, robotics, and fractional calculus applications.
He earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University (2004) and has supervised numerous advanced theses in robotics and control systems. His research focuses on:
- UAV control systems (quadrotors, tilt-rotor vehicles)
- Fractional-order dynamic modeling (Euler-Lagrange equations)
- Machine learning in agricultural automation (CNN for strawberry maturity detection)
