Bushra Sabri is an Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University with affiliations to multiple centers including the Center for Global Women’s Health and Gender Equity, Center for Gun Violence Solutions, Center for Health and Opportunity for Latinxs, Center for Public Health and Human Rights, and the Johns Hopkins Gupta-Klinsky India Institute. Her research addresses interpersonal violence, trauma, and health inequities among marginalized populations.
Dr. Sabri specializes in violence prevention, health disparities, trauma, and HIV/AIDS. She has developed culturally informed interventions to reduce intimate partner violence and its consequences, focusing on marginalized women and immigrant communities. Her work integrates social determinants of health and resilience-building strategies.
