Burçak ERTIMUR holds an Associate Professor position in Marketing at SKEMA Business School in Lille, France. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine (2009), MSc and B.Sc. degrees from Bilkent University, Turkey. Her research focuses on value co-creation, consumer culture, and brand management with implications for marketing strategy. Key works include studies on consumer-generated advertising, hybrid cultural products like American Yoga, and market dynamics in emerging technologies like blockchain.
Her academic career includes tenures at Fairleigh Dickinson University (2009–2021) and visiting roles at IÉSEG School of Management and Schulich School of Business. She has received awards such as the Teacher of the Year (2015) and multiple grants from institutions like the Marketing Science Institute. Her research appears in top journals including Journal of Marketing and Journal of Interactive Marketing.
