Burcu DOĞAN is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Organization at Besni Ali Erdemoğlu Vocational School, Adıyaman University, Turkey. She has been affiliated with Adıyaman University since 2010, initially as a Lecturer and later promoted to Assistant Professor in 2022. Her academic journey includes a Doctorate in Business Administration from Hasan Kalyoncu University (2014-2019), a Master's degree in Business Administration from Uşak University (2007-2009), and a Bachelor's degree from Afyon Kocatepe University (2002-2006).
Dr. DOĞAN specializes in accounting and auditing, with particular expertise in independent auditing, accounting standards, and public oversight. Her research interests span a wide range of topics including environmental sustainability disclosures, forensic accounting, management accounting, and economic analysis of Turkish sectors. She has published extensively in national and international journals, with a strong focus on bibliometric analyses of postgraduate research in various accounting domains in Turkey.
Her recent research has examined the relationship between consumer and producer price indices in Turkey, environmental sustainability disclosures in the global cement sector, and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on consumer confidence and sectoral credit patterns in Turkish provinces. Dr. DOĞAN has also co-authored several books on auditing practices in Turkey and related topics.
