Buddhika Amarasinghe Dahanayaka

Dr Buddhika Amarasinghe Dahanayaka serves as a Research Fellow in Fungal and Crop Genetics at the Centre for Crop Health, University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Toowoomba Campus. His work focuses on critical agricultural challenges through genetic and pathological research approaches.

His academic qualifications include:

• BSc from Bangalore University
• MPhil from Wayamba University
• PhD from University of Southern Queensland

Research interests span Crop Protection (particularly pest management), Crop Production systems, and specialized Fungal Genetics applications. His methodology integrates molecular techniques with field studies to address pathogens affecting agricultural productivity, emphasizing sustainable solutions for crop resilience.

As a research supervisor, he mentors students in Crop and Pasture Protection (FoR 300409) and Crop and Pasture Production (FoR 300400), contributing to Australia's agricultural science development through the Centre for Crop Health's collaborative framework.
