Brynne Powell

Brynne Powell serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the School of Education and Human Development, with a dual appointment as Adjunct in Special Education and Director of the Graduate Special Education and DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) Programs within the Department of Special Education.

Her research focuses on advancing pedagogical frameworks for Special Education, with specialized expertise in Deaf and Hard of Hearing instruction, inclusive classroom methodologies, and graduate-level program development. She actively contributes to reshaping curricula for diverse learner populations through evidence-based educational strategies.

As Director of Graduate Special Education Programs, Professor Powell oversees comprehensive academic training for future educators, integrating clinical practice with theoretical foundations to prepare professionals for specialized roles in deaf education and inclusive settings.
