Bryce Turner serves as an Instructor of Percussion at the Texas Lutheran University School of Music in Seguin, Texas, and is a front ensemble staff member for the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps. An active international performer, he made his solo Carnegie Hall debut in 2018 and has appeared across the UK, Spain, Portugal, and the US.
He earned dual Bachelor's degrees in Music Education and Percussion Performance from Texas Lutheran University under Adam Bedell, followed by a Master of Music in Percussion Performance and Literature from Baylor University with Dr. Todd Meehan and Chris Sies.
Turner's expertise centers on percussion performance pedagogy, with specialization in solo/ensemble contexts and front ensemble instrumentation for marching arts. His work bridges classical training and competitive drum corps applications.
His performance honors include:
- Winner of the 2019 Black Swamp Percussion Solo and Ensemble Showcase multi-solo division
- Selection for the 2019 World Percussion Group Tour
Turner maintains active performance commitments with the Mid-Texas Symphony and previously toured with the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps during summers 2015–2016.
