Dr. Bryan Tan Yijia serves as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Woodlands Health specializing in trauma and upper extremity surgery, with subspecialty expertise in shoulder and elbow surgery. He holds dual academic appointments as a Clinical Lecturer at the National University of Singapore's Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and as a Content Expert and Clinical Teacher at Nanyang Technological University's Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, where he trains medical students and contributes to curriculum development.
His educational foundation includes an MBBS and Master of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery from NUS, Membership and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and he is currently completing a PhD in Health Services Research and Implementation Science at NTU. International fellowships at the University of Rochester, Region's Hospital, and North Shore Hospital have shaped his clinical approach to geriatric fractures and complex trauma.
