Bruno Mezzetti

Bruno Mezzetti is a Professor at the Polytechnic University of Marche, where he served as Director of the Agricultural Sciences department (2009-2015) and currently directs the Doctoral School in Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences. His 30-year research integrates genetics, biotechnology, and cultivation systems to enhance fruit production sustainability, focusing on strawberries and berries.

He has authored over 230 scientific publications and secured research funding through six European projects (COST, FP7, Horizon2020) and national initiatives. Recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher (2019-2021), he received the Italian Republic's UFFICIALE honor in 2021.
