Brunella Taddeo is a Senior Lecturer at the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science of Stevens Institute of Technology in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology. She holds a PhD in Microbiology & Epidemiology (1994) and a BS in Biological Sciences (1987) from "La Sapienza" University in Rome, Italy.

Her research focuses on viral replication strategies, particularly HSV-1's manipulation of host cellular machinery, mRNA degradation, and immune evasion. She has authored over 36 peer-reviewed publications.
At Stevens, she teaches advanced biology courses including BIO281 Biology & Biotechnology, BIO381 Cell Biology, BIO392 Microbiology, and BIO484 Molecular Genetics. She has served on multiple institutional committees such as the Undergraduate Education Committee and Tenure Stream Faculty Search Committee.
