Bruce Wilson is Professor and Director of the School of Politics, Security, and International Affairs at the University of Central Florida. His research examines comparative judicial politics and human rights in Latin America, with secondary expertise in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
Professor Wilson has published extensively on constitutional courts, rights litigation, and judicial reform, including four books and articles in leading journals like Comparative Political Studies and Journal of Latin American Studies. His work analyzes how courts enforce rights and shape governance in developing democracies.
He maintains ongoing research partnerships as a Global Fellow at the Centre for LawTransform in Norway and has received numerous teaching awards including UCF's Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award (2010). His current projects investigate the human right to water and sanitation in Costa Rica.
