Dr. Bruce Morley is a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Bath, specializing in macroeconomics and international finance. His research explores exchange rate dynamics, environmental policy impacts, housing markets, and sports economics. His recent work analyzes how monetary policies affect renewable energy stocks and how regulatory tools balance economic growth with environmental protection.
Dr. Morley employs advanced time-series econometrics to study risk transmission in financial markets, including the effects of direct democracy mechanisms on stock volatility. His housing market research identifies convergence patterns across European economies using macroeconomic fundamentals.
He teaches Econometrics and Money & Finance, supervises undergraduate dissertations, and serves as Director of Studies for second-year students. Dr. Morley holds a Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy and contributes to research on climate change impacts on living costs.
