Bruce Gutierrez

Bruce Gutierrez, D.O., is an Assistant Attending Physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. He holds dual academic appointments as an Instructor in Clinical Emergency Medicine and Instructor in Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.

He completed his medical education with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Brown University (2011), followed by a D.O. from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (2018). His postdoctoral training includes an emergency medicine residency at Jacobi/Montefiore Medical Centers and a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Research Focus: Dr. Gutierrez specializes in integrating palliative care protocols within emergency settings, advancing simulation-based medical training, and optimizing clinical education frameworks for emergency practitioners.
