Bruce C. Berndt is the Michio Suzuki Distinguished Research Professor of Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he has served since 1967. Berndt's research focuses on analytic number theory, particularly Ramanujan's work on theta functions, modular forms, and q-series.
