Dr. Bronwen Gulkis is a Lecturer in Global Early Modern Art History (1400–1750) at the School of Art History, University of St Andrews. Her role focuses on teaching and research within the interdisciplinary field of art history, with a specialization in the early modern period. She holds a PhD and has contributed to academic discourse through her expertise in global art practices of this era.
Research Interests: Bronwen Gulkis’s work explores the transnational exchange of artistic ideas, materials, and techniques during the early modern period (1400–1750). Her research emphasizes non-European perspectives, challenging Eurocentric narratives in art history.
