Brittni Collins is an Adjunct Professor in the Liberal Arts department at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCA&D). She is currently completing her doctoral studies in Art History at Binghamton University, where her research investigates the intersection of art, public space, and LGBTQIA+ activism.
Her academic background includes a BFA in Studio Art from Adrian College and an MFA in Studio Art from The George Washington University, reflecting a strong foundation in both artistic practice and critical theory.
- BFA, Studio Art – Adrian College
- MFA, Studio Art – The George Washington University
- PhD (in progress), Art History – Binghamton University
Her research centers on the Gay Liberation Front's strategic occupation of public space following the 1969 Stonewall Riots, analyzing how visual expression and collective action were used to advance LGBTQIA+ rights. Her work bridges studio practice with historical and cultural critique, particularly in the realms of queer theory and public art.
While no publications are currently listed, her research trajectory suggests a strong engagement with themes of identity, resistance, and spatial politics in 20th-century American art and activism.
Brittni currently resides in Binghamton, NY, and contributes to undergraduate education at PCA&D by integrating critical historical perspectives into liberal arts instruction for art and design students.
