Brigitte Baretzky

Brigitte Baretzky is a Professor at the Institute of Nanotechnology, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany. Her research focuses on severe plastic deformation techniques like high-pressure torsion (HPT), phase transformations in metallic alloys, and grain boundary engineering. She has co-authored over 15 recent publications in journals such as Acta Materialia, Materials Letters, and Crystals.

Her work spans computational modeling of HPT processes, experimental studies on immiscible alloy systems, and theoretical analyses of defect-driven phase transitions. Key themes include nanomaterials, solid-state mixing, and microstructural stability under extreme deformation.
