Brigitte Baldi is a continuing lecturer in the Department of Statistics at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), affiliated with the Donald Bren School of Information & Computer Sciences. She specializes in teaching undergraduate students statistical thinking and quantitative reasoning through active learning methodologies. Her work emphasizes contextual data analysis and interdisciplinary applications, particularly in the life sciences.
Dr. Baldi has developed innovative educational materials, including co-authoring The Practice of Statistics in the Life Sciences with David S. Moore. She received the UCI Certificate for Engaged Instruction for her pedagogical strategies, such as in-class group work supported by Learning Assistants and student response systems.
