Bridgette O'Neill DClinPsych serves as a Senior Lecturer with the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University's School of Psychology and Sport Science. She has extensive experience teaching mindfulness-based approaches in NHS mental health services for both staff and clients since 2002, and conducts international training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Mindfulness Based Compassionate Living (MBCL).
Her research focuses on the application of mindfulness and compassion approaches to 'bigger than self' concerns and pro-social behavior, along with examining the role of retreat in mindfulness-based teaching. O'Neill's work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to wellbeing and mental health.
