Bridgett A. King is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Kentucky. Her research examines election administration, public policy, citizen voting experiences, and the consequences of administrative discretion on democratic representation. She currently serves on the Electoral Integrity Project International Academic Advisory Board and as a Research Partner with the Democracy, Power, and Innovation Fund.
Dr. King earned her Ph.D. in Political Science from Kent State University (2012), M.A. in Justice Studies from Kent State (2006), and B.A. in Psychology from Hampton University (2003). Her work has received external support from the National Science Foundation, Rockefeller Family Fund, and Democracy Fund. She participates in domestic and international election observation efforts and contributes to practitioner panels on election administration.
