Bridget Lescelius serves as an Associate Lecturer in the School of Journalism and Advertising at Southern Illinois University's College of Mass Communication and Media Arts, leveraging over 30 years of professional advertising and marketing experience after returning to her alma mater in 2017. She teaches diverse advertising courses spanning copywriting to interactive advertising while managing the student-run Saluki AdLab and mentoring the National Student Advertising Competition team to consistent Midwest district top-3 finishes, including a 2021 championship.
Her academic credentials include an MBA from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Pamplin College), an MS in Public Relations from Boston University, and a BS in Radio-TV from Southern Illinois University, with current pursuit of an Ed.D. in Higher Education. Lescelius specializes in advertising strategy, marketing communications, and public relations, drawing from extensive client work with government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, and small businesses across engineering, tourism, and economic development sectors.
