Bridget Kustin is a Senior Research Fellow and Director of the Ownership Project 2.0: Private Capital Owners & Impact at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. She holds a PhD in Economic Anthropology from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in English from Whitman College. Her expertise spans family businesses, family offices, innovation in capitalism, and Islamic finance.

Research interests focus on wealth management across wealth spectrums, including billion-dollar family enterprises and microfinance in South Asia. She leads global studies on private capital impact, blending ethnographic methods with policy analysis. Her current project examines how family-led investment platforms address climate tech and infrastructure challenges amid inequality.
Publications span crisis management in family businesses, Islamic finance applications, and qualitative studies on household financial practices. Her work bridges academic research with practical impact through advisory roles at organizations like the Skoll Centre and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Teaching includes Oxford MBA courses on capitalism debates and racial capitalism, alongside executive education for family businesses. She advises on diversity initiatives via Enterprising Oxford and has consulted for global institutions like the Islamic Development Bank.
