Brian Shaffer

Brian Shaffer, MD, is a Physician Scientist at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, specializing in bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapy for hematologic malignancies. He serves as the Program Director for the Bone Marrow Transplantation and Immunotherapy Fellowship Programs.

His research focuses on Natural Killer (NK) cell dynamics post-transplantation, aiming to optimize NK cell behavior to improve outcomes for patients with leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, and lymphoma. He has contributed to clinical trials evaluating cyclophosphamide prophylaxis, donor selection criteria, and AI-driven toxicity prediction in transplantation.
