Dr. Brian Porter serves as the Leon A. Bosch ‘29 Professor of Management in the School of Economics and Business at Hope College, where he has been a faculty member since 1999. He teaches financial management, personal investment, accounting, and first-year seminars with a specialized focus on integrating Christian faith and ethics into business education and practice.

Dr. Porter's research investigates financial decision-making through dual lenses of quantitative analysis and ethical frameworks, with recurring emphasis on retirement systems, behavioral aspects of investing, and faith-based financial practices. His work bridges academic theory with practical applications in personal finance, particularly examining how religious values influence investment strategies and corporate governance.
