Brian P Burke, PhD, is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of English at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, affiliated with the Humanities Division. His academic background includes a BA and MA in English from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in English (Composition and TESOL) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Burke's research interests span diverse areas such as film analysis, TESOL education, superhero and Native American mythologies, Shakespearean studies, science fiction, and creative writing. He contributes to academic programs in English Literature and Education, emphasizing composition and teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL).
