Brian K. Foutch

Dr. Brian K. Foutch is a Professor at the University of the Incarnate Word's Rosenberg School of Optometry (RSO), where he teaches epidemiology, neuroanatomy, and public health. He also serves as the academic manager for in-house clinics.

Education:
Dr. Foutch holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, a Master of Science in Engineering from Purdue University, a Doctor of Optometry (OD), and a PhD in Physiological Optics from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. He additionally earned a Master of Military Operational Art and Science from Air University's Air Command and Staff College.

Research Focus:
His expertise spans optometry, public health, and medical education, with specific interests in color vision mechanisms, macular pigment studies, clinical case analysis, pedagogical methods in health sciences, and human factors in perception. He has consulted for industry projects related to perceptual research.
