Brian J. Boyd is the Director of the Center for Ethics and Economic Justice at Loyola University New Orleans within the College of Business. His work bridges philosophical inquiry into the good life and Catholic Social Teaching with practical applications in economic justice and financial literacy.

His research spans wage justice, the ethical dimensions of money and usury, cooperative social enterprises, and the societal impact of technology. Supported by a grant from the Acton Institute, he is preparing his dissertation for publication. As a James Buchanan Fellow, he contributes to interdisciplinary dialogues on economics and ethics, while also consulting for the journal The New Atlantis. The Center under his leadership fosters community engagement through financial literacy programs and mentors undergraduate Ethics Fellows.
