Brian Gravely is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Hispanic Linguistics at Emory University and serves as part-time faculty at the University of Southern Maine. His research specializes in generative syntax, language acquisition, and linguistic variation, with empirical focus on Galician, Asturian, and Brazilian Portuguese.
Current work examines agreement patterns and non-canonical wh-elements in Western Iberian Romance languages. Recent research explores syntactic interfaces and copular agreement mechanisms across languages.
