Brian F. Platt

Brian F. Platt is Associate Professor in Geology and Geological Engineering at University of Mississippi. His research integrates sedimentology, ichnology, and paleopedology to reconstruct past environments and climate conditions, with focus on the Mississippi Embayment and High Plains regions. Current projects examine bauxite deposits, critical zone processes, and Cenozoic carbon cycles.
