Brian Dorn

Brian Dorn is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and the Associate Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) College of Information Science & Technology. As the Union Pacific Community Chair of Computer Science Education, he focuses on computing education, human-computer interaction, and learning sciences.

His research centers on technologies and environments that support computational thinking and programming literacy in formal and informal settings. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and secured external funding from SIGCSE and the NSF. His teaching interests include Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Introductory Programming, Data Structures, and Computer Science Teacher Education.
