Dr. Brian Austin is an Associate Professor and Director of the Philosophy program at Carson-Newman University, where he also serves as Director of the Carson-Newman College Honors Program. He specializes in the philosophy of religion, particularly the intersections of science and religion, and teaches courses in critical thinking, logic, history of philosophy, Christian ethics, and non-Western religious thought. His recent work critiques 'new atheism,' arguing that natural sciences cannot fully ground human values.
