معرفی
Prof. Brian A. Rosen is a full Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Tel Aviv University’s Iby and Aladar Fleischman Faculty of Engineering, where he heads the Energy Materials Laboratory. His work integrates materials science, catalysis, and electrochemistry to tackle global energy challenges.
Research Focus: Prof. Rosen’s group designs and studies advanced catalytic materials for sustainable energy conversion. Core interests include CO₂ electroreduction to carbon monoxide and fuels, dry reforming of methane over novel nanocatalysts, and the development of coke-resistant nanomaterials for gas-to-liquid processes. By exploiting nanoscale phenomena—such as edge states in 2D MoS₂, exsolution of alloy nanoparticles, and shape-controlled perovskites—the team seeks to enhance activity, selectivity, and durability of energy-relevant catalysts.
Laboratory & Facilities: The Energy Materials Laboratory occupies multiple suites (Wolfson Engineering Building 308, 402, and 404) equipped for synthesis, electrochemical testing, and advanced characterization, supporting both fundamental studies and applied prototypes.
