Brett T. Wolfe

Brett T. Wolfe is an Assistant Professor of Forestry at Louisiana State University's College of Agriculture. He holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Utah (2015), an MS in Soils from the University of Puerto Rico (2010), and a BS in Natural Resources from the University of Illinois (2004). His research investigates plant-water interactions, drought/flood responses, and ecosystem hydrology through field observations and predictive modeling.

Dr. Wolfe seeks graduate students for projects on ice sheet dynamics and plant-environment interactions. His lab focuses on mechanistic understanding of how vegetation regulates water cycles under climate change.

Recent publications emphasize hydraulic traits in tropical and temperate forests, with themes including drought performance metrics, canopy conductance regulation, and carbon-water tradeoffs.
