Brett Newman is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Old Dominion University (ODU), part of the Batten College of Engineering & Technology. His research focuses on aerospace systems, including space vehicle guidance, navigation, and control technologies. He holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University (1992), and M.S./B.S. degrees from Oklahoma State University (1985/1983).
Notable work includes a Federal grant ($22,852) for 'Space Vehicle Guidance, Navigation, Control, And Estimation Operations Technologies' (2015–2017).
