Brett Jordan is a Lecturer in Management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He holds an MBA from Stanford (2016, Arjay Miller Scholar) and BS/MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA (2006/2007). His career spans leadership roles at startups and global corporations like Drawbridge Health, Beckman Coulter, and The Boston Consulting Group.
Research interests focus on innovation frameworks, particularly the co-created Research-Driven Ideation (RDI) methodology. He has coached over 300 Stanford MBA students through RDI, emphasizing problem identification and venture creation. His technical expertise includes R&D, product commercialization, and manufacturing optimization.
Notable achievements include 19 patents, 4 journal papers, and 11 conference papers. He teaches STRAMGT 546: Startup Garage: Research Driven Inspiration (2024-25).
