Brentney Hamilton is a Lecturer at Southern Methodist University (SMU), focusing on first-year writing and critical reasoning courses. She holds a B.A. in English from SMU (2007), an M.T.S. in Religion, Ethics and Politics from Harvard Divinity School (2009), and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition at Texas Woman’s University. Her research emphasizes Rural/Working Class Rhetorics, American Transcendentalism, and innovative pedagogical strategies.
Education highlights include the Margaret Terry Crooks Award and Lon Tinkle Scholarship during her undergraduate years.
