Brenna Michelle Farmer is an Associate Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, Cornell University. She serves as the site director at NYP-Lower Manhattan Hospital Emergency Department and Vice Chair of Quality and Patient Safety in Weill Cornell’s Emergency Medicine Department. She holds dual board certifications in Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology.
Dr. Farmer earned her M.D. from Brody School of Medicine (2004) and B.S. from Western Carolina University (2000). She completed residency in Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, followed by subspecialty training in Medical Toxicology at NYU/Bellevue Hospital and NYC Poison Control Center. She is currently pursuing a combined MBA-MS in Healthcare Leadership through Cornell University’s Johnson School of Business and Weill Cornell’s Department of Population Health Sciences.
Her research focuses on quality improvement, patient safety, and medication safety. She actively contributes to professional organizations including leadership roles in the American College of Medical Toxicology. Key credentials include Fellowships in the American College of Emergency Physicians and American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
