Brendan Olley

Brendan Olley is an academic professional affiliated with Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion, both part of the University of the Arts London. He holds a BA in Graphic Communication Design from Central Saint Martins and a postgraduate degree in teaching and learning, with a focus on the history of photography through alternative histories.

Olley serves as an Associate Lecturer in the BA Graphic Communication Design program, specializing in image/lens and photography. Additionally, he teaches fashion photography and contexts at London College of Fashion, contributing to the intersection of creative education and industry practice.

His practical expertise extends to co-founding SHED, a creative coworking hub and photographic studio in east London. Established in 2010 after his graduation, SHED fosters collaboration with University of the Arts London alumni and provides insights into photographic and fashion industry dynamics.
