Brenda Witmer is an Instructor of Voice in the School of Music at James Madison University, where she has taught since 1993. She specializes in vocal performance and pedagogy, with expertise spanning classical opera, music theater, and jazz. Her international performance career includes engagements at festivals such as the InterHarmony International Music Festival (Germany), Operafestival di Roma (Italy), and the Český Krumlov Music Festival (Czech Republic).

Her research interests emphasize vocal technique integration with interdisciplinary practices like yoga and breathwork.
