Brenda S. A. Yeoh

Professor Brenda S. A. Yeoh FBA serves as the Raffles Professor of Social Sciences in the Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and is a core member of the Asian Migration Cluster at the Asia Research Institute. Her work establishes her as a leading authority on migration dynamics across Asia.

Her academic foundation includes a DPhil in Geography from the University of Oxford.

Research spans critical dimensions of migration including:

• Politics of space in colonial and postcolonial urban environments
• Cosmopolitanism and highly skilled talent migration flows
• Gendered aspects of care migration and social reproduction
• Intersections of migration with national identity and citizenship
